Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, or simply feel stuck and want a clearer path forward, I provide a private, self-pay practice with no insurance limitations on how we work together.

Individual Therapy in Sarasota, Florida

Available in person and via secure video telehealth throughout Florida

If you're searching for a therapist in Sarasota who can help you work through anxiety, depression, life transitions, or persistent self-doubt, individual therapy offers a private, focused space to slow down and think clearly about what's actually going on. I work with adults navigating stress, relationship patterns, career pressure, and the kind of chronic self-criticism that quietly shapes how people show up in their lives. Sessions are collaborative and grounded in evidence-based practice, with an emphasis on practical insight rather than jargon. Whether you're dealing with a specific challenge or simply want to understand yourself better, individual therapy is built around your goals and your pace.

Men's Therapy in Sarasota

Many of the men I work with aren't falling apart, they're just exhausted from holding everything together without a place to put it down. Men's therapy focuses on the pressures that tend to hit men differently: relationship stress, intimacy struggles, anger that shows up sideways, and the quiet weight of always being the strong one. Sessions are direct and practical, with no performance required and no need to have the right words before we start. [Learn more about men's therapy in Sarasota →]

Couples Counseling in Sarasota, Florida

Many couples wait years before seeking help, often after the same argument has repeated itself in different forms too many times to count. Couples counseling focuses on identifying the underlying dynamics driving conflict, such as pursue-withdraw cycles, attachment differences, and communication breakdowns, and gives partners concrete tools to interrupt them. This work is well suited to couples at any stage, from those building a foundation early in a relationship to long-term partners facing a specific rupture or a general sense of drift. Sessions are practical and structured but never rigid, drawing on the Gottman Method and current research in attachment and relational therapy to help both partners feel heard and move toward a more secure connection.

Therapy for Older Adults in Sarasota

Aging brings a distinct set of psychological and emotional challenges, including retirement identity, grief, health changes, and questions of legacy and purpose, that general therapy approaches don't always address well. I have specialized experience working with older adults in Sarasota, including serving as a facilitator with the Aging Rebels program at Senior Friendship Centers, and draw on Nancy Schlossberg's transition theory to help clients navigate change with clarity rather than dread. This work treats aging as a "both/and" experience, holding space for real loss alongside genuine opportunity, and is well suited to older adults who want a thinking partner rather than a purely supportive ear. Therapy here is oriented toward meaning, adaptation, and staying engaged with life on your own terms.

Support Groups for Adults and Older Adults

Group therapy offers something individual sessions can't: the experience of realizing you're not the only one facing a particular challenge. I facilitate two ongoing groups in the Sarasota area. Aging Rebels, held at the Senior Friendship Center, is for older adults exploring the realities of aging with humor and honesty. Unstuck is for adults in their 20s and 30s who feel behind, directionless, or quietly stuck despite looking fine on paper. Each group is structured around weekly themes and discussion, blending psychoeducation with real conversation in a small, confidential setting. For people who want connection alongside individual growth, or who simply do better talking things through with peers, these groups offer consistent, low-barrier support without the commitment of ongoing one-on-one therapy. Schedule Here

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance? No. This is a private, self-pay practice, which means our work together isn't limited or directed by insurance company requirements. I can provide documentation for out-of-network reimbursement, though coverage for services from a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern varies by plan, so I'd recommend confirming with your insurer first.

How is group different from individual therapy? Individual therapy is one-on-one and shaped entirely around your specific goals. Groups like Aging Rebels and Unstuck are structured around weekly themes with a small number of peers, so you get the benefit of realizing you're not the only one dealing with something, alongside professional facilitation. Some people do both at once.

Do you work with couples remotely? Yes. Couples counseling is available via secure telehealth anywhere in Florida, as well as in person in Sarasota.

How do I know which service is the right fit? If you're not sure, that's a completely normal place to start. Reach out and we can talk through what's going on before committing to a particular format.
